A package arrived in the mail today…

My mail is usually pretty boring – lots of sale flyers, bills and an occasional magazine.  Today’s mail was different…  I had a small, but well packaged box from a business in the Chicago area.  It’s not just any business, its the Baseball Card Exchange – the mecca of all things unopened…and awesome.  After tearing through a few layers of packaging, I was greeted with a glorious vision…

PackGeek rip #17 – (2) 1970 O-Pee-Chee Baseball wax packs

I had so much fun ripping into the last batch of Canadian wax, that I decided to dive a little bit deeper into the baseball card history books – and try some 1970 OPC wax packs on for size.  Key hits from this release would be Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munson rookie, Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Nolan Ryan, etc.  They’re all in there  Now lets pull a few!

As a part of my most recent purchase from BBCE, I scored 10 packs of 1986 Topps Football in search of Pull Goal #4 – the Jerry Rice rookie card.  Arguably the best receiver of all time – who doesn’t want a high grade example of this classic card for their collection.  In addition to the Rice rookie, ’86 Topps FB also contains rookie cards of Steve Young, Reggie White, Bruce Smith and Andre Reed.  Let’s rip…
